As the new British Superbike season fast approaches, Bowthorpe-based Morello Racing – the official Kawasaki UK Team Green – headed for Cartagena in Spain for a four-day pre-season test with their new bikes and riders.

The team are current holders of the British Superstock 1000 championship following Danny Buchan's 2017 success – and the only team to have held the title more than once after 24-year-old Josh Elliott was crowned the 2015 champion. Team boss Steve Buckenham is out to make it three titles, and with Buchan's departure to the Superbike class he has resigned Elliott. Also signed is 21-year-old Australian rider Sam Clarke, who only came into the series last July but finished on a high with a sixth place in the final round at Brands Hatch.

The four days were dry and by the last day the team were happy with the input from both riders after trying different engine mapping and suspension settings. The first round is at Donington over the Easter Bank Holiday.
