Calculators are going to be required to decide the outcome of many of the MG Car Club titles at their final meeting of the season at Snetterton on Saturday.

The MG Trophy is their foremost series and has Ryan Firth as its leading points scorer, but if dropped scores are taken into account, Graham Ross and Jason Burgess have a better total.

With Ross and Burgess racing in the same class they will be taking points off each other, which may well play right into the hands of Firth come the end of race two.

Family rivalry will be at its height in the MG Metro Cup encounters with Jack and Andrew Aston battling it out for supremacy with the former holding a slim two-point advantage. Third place will be just as keenly fought with Przemek Glodek just five points ahead of Mark Eales.

The points spread between the top three in the MG Cup series is just 14, if dropped scores are taken into account, with Alan Brooke holding the advantage over Richard Buckley and Josh Wright. The latter pair race in the same category so could end up taking points off each other, leaving Brooke an easier run to the title.

The Morgan Challenge also concludes, with three points separating a quartet of drivers, once dropped scores are taken into account. Tim Parsons holds the advantage of a single point over Brett Syndercombe with Tony Hirst two in arrears and Phil Thomas three off the lead.

With each in different classes, none can afford a slip, making for a tense and exciting finale to the season.

Earlier in the season, Keith Ahlers cruised to victory, but in his absence Andrew Thompson looks good for the overall win with a Pit Stop second race concluding their season.

The MG Midget/Sprite Challenge also ends its season with Ed Easton currently top of the table with a 15-point advantage over Steve Collier who will be aiming for a repeat of his double victory in last season's corresponding event.

However, the Class E battle couldn't be much tighter as Pippa Cow trails rival Paul Campfield by five points with the two Snetterton races to decide the outcome, with the first race starting at 11.35am.
