West Norfolk League: Denver closed the gap on Division One leaders Sandringham with a five-wicket win against Hayley East Anglia.

Kevin Cornwell took four for 35 and Chris Rolfe four for 23 before an unbeaten 77 from Paul Morton saw Denver home.

Sandringham's advantage is now just nine points after they lost by 53 runs to Snettisham.

Springwood beat Bircham by five wickets and Terrington won by six wickets against bottom side The Creakes, whose search for their first win continues.

Downham B beat Gooderstone by seven wickets to stay top of Division Two.

On a day when most batsmen struggled, Hospital's Mithun Sortur hit an aggressive 80 from 55 balls with six fours and seven sixes to rescue them from a perilous 57 for six. Rav Sangha took a stunning one-handed catch in the deep to finally end his innings. Sunil Anthrayose took four for 32 as Hospital beat Long Sutton by 37 runs to remain only three points behind Downham B.

Northwold's Scott Adams took six for 29 as they beat Castle Acre by six wickets to stay in touch with the top two.

Narborough A's Stephen King top scored with 53 and Charlie Collison took four for 50 as they beat Fakenham A by 19 runs.

Swaffham A scored maximum points as opener Chris Upton top scored with 77 and Tony Exley added 53 on their way to a 72-run victory against Thornham in Division Three.

Hillington A jumped from fifth to second with captain Andrew Jarvis scoring 77 in their 60-run victory against Mundford A.

Beeston opener Clive Parke fired 124no and Marcus English took five for 25 in an 83-run win against Holt. The victory took them off the bottom and out of the relegation zone.

Beetley are running away with Division Four after another maximum 20 points increased their lead to 46. Tony Wright scored 61 and Gary Hinchliffe took four for 32 as they beat Castle Acre A by 147 runs. Matt Elliot took four for 58 for Castle Acre A.

Dersingham A's Darren Cook claimed six for 15 against Necton, but in a low scoring match, Necton came away with the win by 34 runs.

Fakenham B's Kristian White put in a man of the match performance against Gayton, scoring 94 and taking six for 40. Bruce Bushell contributed 68 in Fakenham B's 25-run victory with G Buffham scoring 56 for Gayton.

Downham C took over at the top of Division Five with Gurjit Sandhu hitting an unbeaten 84 in their 89-run victory over Gooderstone A.

Dereham B moved into second place with Zak Baker scoring 50 and Tom Simpson adding 55 before Ryan Widdows helped bowl Denver A out by taking four for 32 in a 106-run victory. Ben Watts took four for 57 for Denver A.
