More than 63 horses and ponies were at Forest Edge on Saturday, taking part in a Blue Chip Indoor Eventer Trial, with the first six places in each class qualifying for the final of the winter series. There is one more qualifier on February 4 before the Championship at Forest Edge on Sunday, February 26.

As usual the course was beautifully decorated for the day, with eight showjumps followed by seven eventing-style jumps bringing the outdoors indoors for the day. The fastest rounds won the classes, with each knockdown adding four seconds to the time. There was some really exciting jumping throughout the day with riders hotly competing for the generous prizes supplied by Blue Chip Feeds.

Class winners were 60cm Sarah Bramwell and Event Horizon 11, 70cm Kirsty Saunderson and Sadie, 80cm and 90cm Scarlett Simmons and Mr Kipling, 1m Sam Brooker and Jasper J and the 1.10m Sarah Earl riding Miss Clover.
