It was a red, white and blue weekend last week at Forest Edge Arena, with the Championships of two of the centre's Winter Series taking place.

In the Blue Chip Feed Indoor Eventer Trials Championship Show, Millie Stennett from Ingham won two Blue Chip Championship rosettes riding Red Berry Holly and also won the 60cm Novice Championship and the 70cm Championship on her mother's chestnut, Rhode Island Red.

Petite Charlotte Rose-Eyres set an unbeatable time in the 80cm Championship, taking the first rosette with the skewbald, CB Sam, and second place with Golden Winds, both owned by Sally Rose.

The well-known Temple stud was represented by Claire Pye, from Thorpe St Andrew riding Temple Kelpie, to clinch the largest class of the day, the 90cm Championship. The ladies had prevailed, until the last two classes of the day – the 1m and the 1.10m Championships – when Roy Hart, a Forest Edge regular, won on his own Harvest Moon.

In the Rands & Wilson Feeds Unaffiliated Showjumping Championship Show the winners were Eden Willmott riding Castle Rira, (60cm), Kirsty Saunderson and Maisie (70cm and 80cm), Hannah Hardwicke, riding Sue Bond's CJ (90cm), Katie Holland, riding Millmart Sonny Jim (1m).
