Mildenhall Town took another giant step towards winning the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division title when they recorded an impressive 2-0 win at Gorleston last night.

The Greens, who had been right in the hunt themselves at the beginning of the month before losing 2-0 at the leaders, suffered a third successive defeat as the visitors struck once in each half.

Goals from Gareth Simpson and Arran Mackay took Mildenhall nine points clear of Felixstowe and Walton, who have just five matches left to play.

Great Yarmouth were also in home action and picked up all three minutes as they saw off Wivenhoe 4-0 thanks to two goals apiece from Sean Perfect and Jamie George. The pair both scored in the first half, and then repeated the trick in the second with long range efforts.

In Division One Diss Town's impressive run came to an end when they lost 2-0 at Haverhill Borough.
