Dereham were on the end of a 6-3 defeat at Bedford in the Premier Division as they ended 2015 on a low note.

There was better news for Norwich City in Premier B as they gained an impressive 4-1 win over Harleston Magpies II.

City produced one of their best performances of the season so far with Chris Wardale opening the scoring with a poacher's finish. Gabriel Marchant made it 2-0 and it was three before half-time when Wardale struck again. Marchant made it 4-0 in the second half as Harleston netted a late consolation.

City go into the Christmas break three points behind leaders Letchworth, hoping that a successful second half of the season will see them claw back that deficit and top the table after 22 games.

In Division 3NE, Norwich City III hammered North Norfolk at Cromer 5-0. Chris Perry opened the scoring from a penalty corner before Matt Fretwell made it 2-0 before the break. Matthew Brine fired into the roof of the net in the second half before Ben Cushion started and finished a slick City move. M Circuit completed the scoring from close range.

Norwich Dragons III fell to a heavy defeat as they lost 4-0 at Ipswich-East Suffolk despite a vailiant performance from goalkeeper Robert Coyle.

Norwich Dragons II hit six of the best in their win over Lowestoft Railway I. A remarkable bout of high availability meant the Dragons' second team entered the game against Lowestoft Railway with perhaps their strongest side of the season.

Jason Wolfe got Dragons off the mark and Alex Browne made it 2-0 before half-time with a composed finish.

The second half very much followed the pattern of the first before the overwhelming dominance of the Dragons game helped them score a couple of late goals and finish 6-0 winners via Alex Bilalis-Stone, Tom Rutledge, Jack O'Meara and a second for Wolfe.

Norwich City IV enjoyed a fine end to the year with a 3-1 win over Felixstowe II in Division 4NE. City started out of the blocks quickly scoring in the first five minutes via Tim Armstrong. Continued pressure later in the half resulted in Jon Kidner scoring, so City went into half-time 2-0 up. However, Felixstowe never gave up and came back strongly in the second half scoring in the first 10 minutes. City however kept their cool and scored again through Kidner after 20 minutes and managed to hold on for a well deserved 3-1 win and another three points .

Norwich City V didn't have a good weekend as they were routed 7-0 at Bury St Edmunds.

Norwich Dragons IV also slipped to defeat against Suffolk-based opposition as they were beaten 3-1 at home to Ipswich-East Suffolk.

It was an improvement on their last match against IES though as Dragons went down to a 7-1 drubbing. IES's first goal came from a rocket of a drag flick at a short corner, beating keeper Ben Nkrumah high and wide in the roof of the net. IES made it 2-0 in the second half before Will Ives pulled one back. However, IES completed the scoring late on.
