Saturday saw Beccles Golf Club hold a qualifying stableford competition, with players enjoying good starting conditions scores stayed reasonably low.
Playing in his first qualifier and winning was Matt Hunter with 41 points and a handicap cut of 2.4. Second was Alan Ereira (35pts) and taking third on countback (35pts) was Ben Cable.
Sunday saw club captain Bob Janney hold his Birthday Competition Trophy, with a mixed field. The ladies' competition was won by Jula Janney; the main competition places were: third Steve Driver (39pts), second but losing on countback was Ron Walding and winner (39pts) Steve Tomlinson.
Janney thanked Nicky for food, Ron for running the bar and David for preparing the greens.
