Dereham Town, with Wroxham having cut their lead at the top of the Ridgeons Premier Division, on Saturday visit a Felixstowe & Walton side in the bottom section of the table.

At the weekend the Magpies had to overcome two costly errors by keeper Shaun Marshall and the half-time sending off of manager Matt Henman to draw their home game with Walsham-le-Willows 2-2, writes Rene Kendal.

Dereham were causing their visitors problems down the right until after 10 minutes Marshall attempted to shepherd the ball out of play near the by-line.

But Steve Holder nipped in to gain possession and had the simple task of tapping into an empty net.

Then on 15 minutes, Marshall tripped when setting himself to save Gavin Johnson's 20-yard drive and the ball found the top corner of the net.

Manager Henman was ordered off after an altercation with the referee at half-time.

Second half, apart from efforts by Scott Roberts and Danny Beaumont, Dereham posed little threat to the Walsham goal.

Then in the 70th minute Ryan Foster clipped a post from 25 yards and two minutes later a Roberts shot was handled for a penalty which was converted by Beaumont.

Four minutes later the Magpies were level when Sam Willis hammered home a drive from 22 yards.

Dereham piled on the pressure, but could not improve their goals tally.

On Tuesday, Felixstowe were at home to Brantham Athletic and lost 2-0 to drop down to fifth from bottom with 11 poionts from 11 games. Dereham have 39 from 16.
