King's Lynn Stars boss Rob Lyon believes his side will have even more Norfolk-based support than ever this season.

The county's speedway outfit will track three homegrown talents in their 2014 Elite League line-up after Lewis Kerr, Lewis Rose and Robert Lambert progressed through the club's Young Stars set-up. And Lynn's team boss expects the trio's presence will provide even more reason for supporters to squeeze into Saddlebow Road once tapes come up on April 9.

Lyon said of his three young riders: 'I think it will bring in the crowds because, like in any sport really, if you've got local competitors, fans like to see that. They like the interaction and thought of local riders riding in their local team. Funnily enough, all seven are pretty well locally based this year which is great. Having three Norfolk-based young riders is unusual but quite refreshing. Hopefully it will grab the attention of the public and they'll come along and see these boys in action.'

Lambert, 15, from Foulsham, Kerr, 24, of Heacham and 24-year-old Rose – who lives just across the border in Sutton Bridge – are in line to make their senior Lynn bow at home to Lakeside Hammers next month. When they're in the UK their team-mates live in the following places: Niels-Kristian Iversen (Peterborough), Kenneth Bjerre (Huntingdon), Nicklas Porsing (Downham Market) and Rory Schlein (Coventry).
