Team boss Rob Lyon wants his King's Lynn side to build on the belief they gained from their draw at Swindon on Thursday by beating them tonight.

The Stars welcome the high-flying Robins - and the Sky Sports cameras - to the Norfolk Arena this evening in confident mood following last week's fine 45-45 draw at Blunsdon.

Lyon's in-form troops, who have picked up Elite League points in six of their last seven meetings, look perfectly poised to stage a play-off push during the second half of the season. And the Stars manager wants his side to keep that momentum going with another positive result

once tapes are up at Saddlebow Road.

Lyon said: 'We'd have been happy with a point at Swindon last week so to get two points feels like a win. It's given us a major boost for the rest of the season.

'Hopefully we can push on and make the play-offs as there's a bit more belief around the place that we have got what it takes to do the business.

'We just need to keep firing. The main riders did the job at Swindon and some of the reserves chipped in too, although some didn't come to the party.

'It's all about confidence and making sure we can get some consistency, especially from the line. Our gating has been a problem of late but funnily enough we were better at it than Swindon at their place.'

Norfolk Arena chiefs will be hoping for better weather today as they attempt to welcome the Robins for the third time this season.

Twice the meeting has been rained off and Lynn's last home fixture - against Eastbourne last week - was called off thanks to a freak storm.

Ulrich Ostergaard is set to make his Stars debut tonight while former Lynn riders Troy Batchelor and Lasse Bjerre return to their old stomping ground with second-place Swindon.

Norfolk Arena chief Buster Chapman, whose side sit fifth in the table - one place outside the play-offs - said: 'With the addition of Lasse to Swindon's team, and Troy now hitting form again, I think we have our toughest meeting of the season ahead of us.

'Rob and the team will have to pull together and ride above expectations to get the win but I am sure the fans will behind us 100pc of the way.'
