Lowestoft and Yarmouth had another tough day in London 2NE at home against a promotion chasing Ipswich team full of strong fast and elusive runners.

They really had no answer to the visitors' attack despite some impressive defensive efforts from individuals such as Steve Adams, Chris Howe and Ben Selby.

The home side lacked their opponents' cohesion and it showed in a 10-try romp. Stu Moore touched down for L&Y early in the second half and Dave Tiueti kicked a touchline conversion.

But L&Y – still six points clear of the bottom two – are better off forgetting the past two results and concentrating on getting a win against Saffron Waldon in their final home game on Saturday.

They complete their season with a tough away fixture at fifth-placed Chelmsford on April 20.
