A new era, with new management, new sponsors, new players and new board members in a new league.
And ahead of the start of the new season in the Evo Stik Premier Division Central, Lowestoft Town FC have appointed a new chairman – as Gary Keyzor has returned to the helm.
The popular former chairman has agreed to return to the club for a second spell, after previously spending almost a decade overseeing things at the Amber Dew Events Stadium.
And on the eve of the new season, Lowestoft announced that Keyzor would be returning to his previous role on an initial 12-month period.
Keyzor, who remained on the club’s board of directors following his departure last September for work related reasons, was appointed once more following a club board meeting last night (Thursday).
With a new campaign starting at Halesowen in the Southern League central division tomorrow (Saturday) Keyzor admitted he was “excited” about the “new venture” ahead.
“I am thrilled to be back,” Keyzor said. “Its a new venture, a new league, new management, new players, new sponsors, new board members - a new everything - there are lots of exciting things happening at the club.
“Obviously I have been in the background for a while, and last night there was a board meeting where I was appointed chairman again - its exciting and I have agreed to take on the role for an initial 12-month period.”
Lowestoft will be in home league action at the Amber Dew Events Stadium on Tuesday as they continue the new campaign under the management of Jamie Godbold and Andy Reynolds with a home match against St Ives Town (7.45pm kick off),
