Lowestoft Town have signed journeyman striker Jefferson Louis on a two-year contract.

The 35-year-old has agreed to lead the Trawlerboys' assault on Conference South next season after meeting with chairman Gary Keyzor in London last night.

Lowestoft will be Louis' 30th club of a nomadic career but director of football Craig Fleming had made the forward one of his prime transfer targets this summer.

Louis bagged a brace against the Blues last season when playing for Margate and finished as the Ryman League Premier top goalscorer in the last campaign with 31 goals. However, when Margate decided against offering the veteran a contract, Lowestoft swooped and the forward could form a lively looking partnership with Jake Reed next season.
