Lowestoft Town enjoy their first 'glamour' match of their Conference North campaign this afternoon when they travel to Stockport County (kick-off 3pm).

The Hatters were playing in League One as recently as the 2009/10 season and still regularly attract attendances in excess of 2,000 fans. Lowestoft are of course used to the big occasion having played in four play-off finals in recent seasons and director of football, Craig Fleming, can't wait for his side to test themselves against one of the big fish of the division.

'It's a great place to go and we've just got to go there and do more of the same of what we've been doing,' he said.

'When the fixtures came out it was one the lads were looking out for given their pedigree and this is what playing at a higher level is all about.'

Despite their impressive start to life in Step Two of the non-league pyramid, Fleming insists his Blues side will be underdogs given they face another 6am start on Saturday.

'It will be another long journey for us on the day which doesn't help,' admitted the former Norwich City defender.

'The coach is leaving at 6am and it makes it really difficult for the players. But our lads have got a lot of heart and we've shown certainly over the last season or so that we thrive when we're up against it. It's just another hurdle we've got to overcome.'

Fleming allayed fears that Dan Gleeson is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines after injuring his ankle in the 0-0 draw against Gainsborough last weekend.

Lowestoft's squad will be boosted by the return of Harvey Hodd, who has re-joined the Blues after his release by Norwich City. However, it is still too early for Dale Cockrill (knee) and Bradley Woods-Garness (knee) to return.

After receiving international clearance, Polish midfielder Dawid Radomski has signed a two-year contract with the Trawlerboys. This means that after waiting a number of weeks for international clearance, Radomski is now finally available for selection and could feature in the long trip to Stockport. Young defender Reece Edwards-King has joined Gorleston on loan for two months.
