Lowestoft Town have sights set on catching Hornchurch

Lowestoft Town joint boss Ady Gallagher has set his sights on securing second place in the Ryman League Premier.

Billericay's win against East Thurrock last weekend means the Essex outfit need just a point from their last two games, one of which is against Lowestoft, to secure the title thanks to their superior goal difference.

While Gallagher hasn't given up hope of winning the title after their 3-2 win against Carshalton Athletic, second place looks more achievable given Hornchurch's slip-up against Wealdstone last weekend.

'Realistically we would be hugely reliant on Billericay losing next week to give us that chance in the last game,' he said. 'Second place is still up for grabs though and that would be a great achievement.

'Finishing second would give us home advantage in the play-offs and I would back us against anyone at this level on our home patch, especially with our fans.'
