LOWESTOFT Town CC's first team's scheduled start to the new cricket league season has been halted to day (Saturday) by the weather.
Peter Sims' first team side were due to play Vauxhall Mallards away in the opening Norfolk Alliance Premier Division encounter of the new season.
But Sims said: 'The fixture has been cancelled due to the ground (at Brundall) being partly waterlogged and the pitch is too wet.'
