Lowestoft Town kick off a busy week of cup football this evening when they play host to Suffolk neighbours AFC Sudbury (7.45pm).

The Blues will be aiming to reach the third round of the Championship Manager Cup, the knock-out competition for Ryman League clubs, before turning their attention to the FA Trophy clash with Swindon Supermarine, also at Crown Meadow.

Saturday's match is clearly the one that catches the eye, but joint manager Ady Gallagher firmly rejected any suggestions that Lowestoft would be taking tonight's tie lightly.

'We are on a 15-match unbeaten run and we want to keep it going, it's as simple as that,' said Gallagher. 'It's a local derby against a side who are going well in their league and it's a game we are looking forward to.

'We haven't decided on the team we are going to put out yet but we have got a good squad here and whoever we pick I am confident they will go out and give a good account of themselves.'

Lee McGlone and Andrew Fisk are both available again after suspension and could get a run-out this evening while Matthew Halliday is also available for the Blues after missing Saturday's goalless draw with Wealdstone.

Opponents Sudbury, currently tenth in Division One North of the Ryman League, will go into the game as underdogs against a side among the front runners in the Premier Division, But they have won their previous two league fixtures and should relish the opportunity of putting one over Suffolk's highest ranked non-League side.

Tonight's tie must be decided on the night, with extra time and penalties if necessary.
