King's Lynn Town boss Gary Setchell hopes his side can draw on their experience in the FA Vase last season after being handed a tough looking trip to Gresley in the second round.

Setchell is desperate for the Linnets to go one better than last season after suffering the disappointment of a semi-final defeat against Coalville but he admitted it won't be easy against the Midland Alliance side.

'It could have been easier – there are a lot weaker sides in the draw at this stage,' said Setchell, whose side hammered Northampton Spencer 6-0 in the UCL on Saturday. 'But we had a couple of tough away games last season in the Vase and I think the lads are going to have to draw on that experience – hopefully that can see us through.

'They have got a good history in the competition and I think they got knocked out by St Neots last year, losing 2-1 and we all know what a good side they are.'

Lynn have certainly showed an appetite for the cup competitions in the last two seasons with the prospect of an away trip to Tamworth this Saturday in the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup.

'The lads just seem to revel in the cup games and I think the supporters love it as well,' added Setchell, 'There's a buzz around the town and everyone is willing us on to make the next round.

'We would love to go one step further in the Vase this year, it was great for everyone last season and we are determined to experience all that again.'

Setchell will be hoping his side can take care of business in the league first this evening when they travel to Boston.

The Linnets cruised to a 2-0 win at The Walks earlier this season against them but Setchell is preparing his side for a bruising encounter.

'We know what to expect, it's going to be a physical encounter and we've got to be professional enough to deal with that.

'I think they're in a bit of a false position – they aren't a bottom three side don't worry about that, they will be up the table come the end of the season.'

Wisbech are also the on the road as they travel to Racing Club Warwick, who play in the Premier Division of the Midland Football Combination, step five in the non league pyramid.

Mildenhall's reward for beating Ridgeons Premier Division leaders Wroxham in the first round of the Vase is a home tie against Sporting Bengal United while Diss Town will entertain Buckingham Town at Brewers Green Lane.

Ridgeons First Division side Thetford Town, who cruised to a 3-0 win at nine-man Dereham Town, go to Royston Town.

All ties will take place on Saturday, November 19.
