King's Lynn Young Stars have signed Lakeside's Shane Hazelden on a year-long loan deal.
Hazelden, an asset of the Elite League Hammers, spent last season riding in the National League for Rye House. However, the 19-year-old hot prospect will race for the Young Stars when British speedway returns in 2013.
Team boss Dale Allitt said: 'We're really pleased to sign Shane. He's a rider who every fan wants in their team when you look on National League discussion threads online.
'He had a bit of a bad season – like us – in 2012 with injury and arrives on a steal of an average.
'He is vastly going to improve that with us and hopefully can return to the six or seven-point average he has been riding on during the past few years.'
Hazelden is expected to begin his time at the Young Stars on a 4.57 average.
