King's Lynn Young Stars last night announced the signing of Tom Young.
The 21-year-old arrives at the Norfolk Arena on loan from Premier League Scunthorpe and will be a heat leader for Lynn next season.
Young Stars team boss Dale Allitt said: 'Tom had a really good 2012 and put four points on his average.
'He is a rider on the up and will give us extra strength in depth at the top end – which we felt was lacking at times last season. He wants to push on and ride in the Premier League so he fits in with what we're looking to do here.'
Allitt thanked Scunthorpe – who will not be running a team in the 2013 National League – for helping sort the deal. The Welsh rider will begin life in Norfolk on a 7.38 average.
