King’s Lynn Young Stars announce Stokes’ signing while Knight and Kerr join Premier League sides

King's Lynn Young Stars last night announced Tom Stokes as the latest member of their 2013 line-up.

Stokes, 19, rode for Lynn's National League team last season and joins Shane Hazelden and Tom Young in Dale Allitt's side for next season.

Young Stars team boss Allitt said: 'We're very pleased to have him back. He's a Lynn asset and was averaging well over eight points at the end of the season.

'He'll start 2013 on an average of roughly five-and-a-half which is certainly very useful and if he carries on in the same vein as he ended I'm sure he will be offered Premier League racing soon.'

One rider who looks set not to be at the Norfolk Arena next year is Jake Knight. He has signed for Sheffield on a full transfer. Lewis Kerr will also ride in the Premier League after agreeing to join Leicester on loan.
