Gary Setchell is calling for King's Lynn Town to show their battling qualities at Ashton United.

The Linnets, fifth in the Evo-Stik Premier Division, are just two places and one point above their opponents this afternoon. So Lynn's boss is expecting another hard-fought fixture against their fellow play-off hopefuls.

Setchell said: 'It's going to be another difficult away trip. Ashton are, as I like to say, are very hardened Step Three Northern Premier League side.

'They get good results. I've never been there as a player or a manager, so it's hard for me to comment, but from what I hear I don't think it's the most glamorous of places to go and play football. So we'll have to man up, fight, and do the best we can to get a result.

'If we come away with something, say a win, it would be huge for us. If we don't come away with anything, things will look even more difficult than they do already.'

Lynn won 2-1 at Droylsden on Tuesday night and debutant keeper Ashley Timms will definitely keep his place today with shot-stopper Alex Street still suspended.

Norfolk's top-five chasers are boosted by the return of fans' favourite Dan Quigley. And Setchell admits the midfielder's presence following a two-game suspension is a major plus ahead of their latest trip to the north west.

Lynn's boss said: 'Quigz is unique. In all my years of football I haven't come across many like him.

'He really puts his body on the line and puts his head where others wouldn't put their feet. When you add his braveness and his desire you've got a big hole to fill when he's not there.

'He has good games and he has bad games but what Quigz always gives, from minute one to minute 90, is maximum effort. As a manager, you can't ask for anything more than that. I think Quigz typifies what I would say is a Gary Setchell type player. 'He can play football, score six to seven goals a season, defend set pieces, tackle and work from box-to-box. As he gets older he may have to change his style of play but he's at the age where he can play like he does now for at least four or five more years.'

Ashton, who can leapfrog Lynn in the table if they beat them, lost 2-1 at The Walks in November but have only suffered two league defeats on their own turf this season.
