King's Lynn Town continue their preparations for the big Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division campaign with a friendly at home to an Ipswich Town XI tonight (kick-off 7.45pm).

The Blues are expected to bring a young side to The Walks with the first team in action at Colchester on Tuesday night.

The Linnets will be looking to build on a solid pre-season campaign so far which saw them draw 1-1 against Peterborough Sports on Saturday. Craig Parker gave Ian Culverhouse's side the lead only for Josh Sanders to score with an overhead kick late on.

The match could give fans the chance to see new signings Ryan Jarvis and Fraser Blake-Tracy in action after their summer switches from Lowestoft Town.

King's Lynn are at home again on Saturday against Gorleston before finishing their pre-season at Lowestoft.

Lynn will take on Gosport Boro at The Walks on the opening day of the league campaign on August 12.
