A return of four points out of a possible six so far in 2015 is a decent return. But a 0-0 draw at home to Halesowen last time out was frustrating for the Linnets who spurned decent opportunities through George Thomson and Gregg Smith – who along with Ross Watson also struck the woodwork.

But it's not their form at The Walks that is troubling Lynn's manager most as they make the trip to face struggling Witton Albion. An Evo-Stik Premier Division victory has not been achieved on the road since the opening day of the season.

That miserable record needs to end soon if Town are to mount any sort of serious challenge to finish in the top five, or even improve on their debut campaign in the Northern Premier League which saw them finish 11th.

And that quest to pick up three points on the road can only be helped according to Setchell if his players stop relying on 21-goal Thomson to find the net.

Setchell said: 'We've played two games (this year) and they've both been very, very similar. We've kept two clean sheets but scored just one goal, although in both games we had the better chances. This is where we can't keep relying on George.

'If George doesn't score someone else has got to step up and on Saturday no-one did. George looked our most likely player to score and I thought he had a very good game. We trained Wednesday and we'll try to do to Witton what Halesowen did to us and come away with a result.'

Dan Quigley misses out as he serves the second of his two-game suspension. Jackson Ramm (knee), Jake Jones (hamstring) and David Bell (knee) will all undergo late fitness tests with Lynn taking a 19 to 20-man squad as a precaution incase the trio are all sidelined.

The Linnets, 11th, but just six points off the top five, travel to Wincham Park knowing a triumph would see them complete only their second double of the season. Setchell's men beat Witton 2-0 at home thanks to a Sam Mulready brace.

That was Tony Sullivan's first game in charge but since then Albion have recorded surprise wins against Ashton United and Buxton and have moved up to 20th.
