King's Lynn Town opened up a seven-point gap at the top of the table after their biggest win of the season.

Simon Lappin struck after just 10 minutes, claiming his first goal in Lynn colours with a shot from the edge of the area, with Craig Parker, Michael Gash, Tom Ward and Leon Mettam wrapping up the points with goals in the second half.

By that time St Neots had lost midfielder Taylor Parr, shown a straight red card just before half-time for a foul on Cameron Norman, and from then on it was an uphill battle for the hosts. Gash was the provider for Parker before getting on the scoresheet himself after latching on to a delightful cross from Norman.

Ward then got in on the act, powering home a header from a corner.

Mettam then added a fifth as St Neots wilted in the face of the Linnets onslaught.
