Robert Lambert is in but Niels-Kristian Iversen is out of the Monster Energy FIM Speedway of Nations.

Brilliant British youngster Lambert has won a place in the GB side for event two of the tournament at Belle Vue on Tuesday, June 5.

He has been named as the Under-21 member of the side along with double world champion Tai Woffinden and British champion Craig Cook for the event which adopts the popular pairs format.

But there's bad news for Iversen, who will sit out the next fortnight to have treatment on the shoulder he damaged last season.

It's a decision made with the rest of the season in mind and former Stars man Kenneth Bjerre will link up with Michael Jepsen Jensen for the Danes.

King's Lynn boss Dale Allitt said: 'Niels and I have had a long chat about this and we agree this is the best course of action.

'He was in great form at Belle Vue for us on Monday, but the treatment is something he really needs to have with such a demanding season ahead.

'The timescale is such that he will only miss next week's meetings for us but will be back for our trip to Poole on June 13.

'We look forward to seeing Niels back fitter and stronger and this lay-off can only be beneficial for both Niels and King's Lynn speedway with a view to the long term.

'I'm delighted for Robert, he's been in flying form of late and almost unstoppable so he fully deserves his call-up for Great Britain.'

The Tru Plant Stars will operate the rider replacement facility for Iversen in Monday's televised clash with Rye House in Hertfordshire.

But they are looking at guest possibilities for next Wednesday at the Adrian Flux Arena when Somerset are the visitors – including world champion Jason Doyle.

The rest of the King's Lynn side is expected to be in place.

Meanwhile, speculation is gathering momentum that a Championship club are interested in the services of Thomas Jorgensen with a view to him doubling-up with the Stars.

Jorgensen is known to be keen to fill up his diary dates with as many meetings as possible.
