King's Lynn Stars rider Lewis Kerr will not enjoy a dream Great Britain debut at his home track later this month.

Kerr, 24, was named in GB's initial 10-man squad for the Speedway World Cup event at the Norfolk Arena on Saturday, July 26. However, boss Alun Rossiter has this morning announced that he has not named the Heacham rider in his four-man team.

Rosco has opted to choose world champion Tai Woffinden, fellow Grand Prix ace Chris Harris, ex-Lynn rider Simon Stead and Danny King in his side which will face Australia, USA and Italy at Saddlebow Road. Craig Cook has been named as first reserve.

Other rides to miss out as well as Lynn's Fast Track Draft pick include Richie Worrall, Lewis Bridger, Ben Barker and Richard Lawson.
