King's Lynn warded off interest from Conference-level clubs to agree a long term contract with Luke Thurlbourne.

The young midfielder has agreed a deal to stay at The Walks until 2013 at the end of a busy week for the UCL Premier Division title contenders that also saw Ross Watson and Pat Bexfield pledge their futures to the club.

Thurlbourne signed prior to yesterday's latest 1-0 UCL Premier Division win against Wellingborough and joins older brother Luke along with teenage keeper Alex Street who had previously signed deals with the Linnets this season.

'Luke has been brilliant for us and he is another one we had identified that we want to build for the future,' said Town joint boss Kevin Boon. 'I know for a fact clubs in the Conference set-up have looked at him recently and there has been some interest. His performances warrant that but he loves being a part of this club and he wants to be a part of what is happening here.'
