It was a record breaking weekend at Knockhill for King's Lynn's Carl Breeze who commemorated him 100th Ginetta GT4 SuperCup start with a dominating victory, his 62nd in the series, to establish a new bench mark.

Breeze journeyed to Scotland determined to avenge his defeat in the previous round at his home track of Snetterton by Charlie Robertson and boost his title ambitions in the process, which the Bluechip supported racer achieved.

'Two wins and a second place has really brought the championship alive' said Breeze after the final race.

The importance of qualifying cannot be underestimated with the Lynn racer triumphing by just seven thousands of a second to secure the converted pole position from rival Robertson.

Breeze led away race one but most of the second half of the race was run behind the safety car as track workers were recovering a car, however while this was going on the circuit became perilous due to falling rain and the racers all on slick dry weather tyres. Finally the green light was given to resume racing with two laps left with Breeze's experience allowing him to secure victory over championship leader Robertson.

Race two followed a similar pattern to the first with Breeze in the lead with Robertson giving chase without troubling his rival while for the second time Breeze claimed the extra point for fastest race lap which also set a new bench mark for the series.

The top six places from race one are reversed to make up the grid for race three with Breeze sneaking past Robertson after Dave Pittard had spun at the hairpin while trying to relive Luke Davenport, Breeze's team- mate in the United Autosports squad, of the lead. This left Andrew Watson to hound Davenport for the lead but instead he attracted a time penalty for corner cutting elevating Breeze into second place in the results. While Breeze has slashed Robertson lead to 29 points with seven races left after dropped scores are taken into account the racer is just seven points behind with it all to play for.

Dereham's Dan Zelos found his first visit to the tricky track character building and was unable to match his competiveness shown at the previous Ginetta Junior races held at his home track of Snetterton.

Zelos would start race one from ninth place and he quickly made progress to sixth but a mid race incident dropped him to the tail of the field and restricted him to a 15th place finish. A second ninth place start saw Zelos again make an early charge up to sixth which he kept to the finish to consolidate fifth place in the series.
