The Carousel Riding Club held their first show of the year at their new venue at Weston Park, Lenwade, on Sunday April 23. Although the entries were down slightly it was a very successful day and members were very pleased with the space available.

The Carousel Riding Club held their first show of the year at their new venue at Weston Park, Lenwade, on Sunday April 23. Although the entries were down slightly it was a very successful day and members were very pleased with the space available.

The first class was Riding Horse or Pony and went to Milford Belle ridden by Emma monks with Marty ridden by Kate Plumb second. The Riding Club Horse or Pony class was won by Judith Johnson on Rupert, followed by Sophie Hammond on Magic Millbrook and Julie Chick riding Katy. The Cobs followed with Gemma Webster and her own Oliver Brown standing top ahead of Vicky Kerrison and Slanemoor and Kate Watts and Poppy who then went on to win the Coloured class. Emily Bainbridge on Oxnead Anchor took the Mountain and Moreland whilst the Hunters went to Sally Douglas and Frankie, followed by Rachael Hall and Gangsters Moll. The Working Hunter class was the biggest class of the day and went to Kari Nash riding Lincoln's Legacy followed by Sally Douglass and Frankie.

As well as three other members' shows the Club is holding an Open Show on Sunday July 9 and a Dog Show on Sunday June 4, all at Weston Park. Training sessions are also being arranged. If you would like more details please contact Anne Green on 01692 651069.
