Junior Bungay Black Dog runner Ted Oldman took over two minutes off his previous time to finish sixth in the second of the Great Yarmouth 5m Series races.

Ted, who finished in 28 mins 57 secs was also second junior male home. The damp but improved conditions attracted 198 runners and helped the other 17 Black Dogs to improve their times.

Joanne Cox was 83rd (36:46), Nigel Gilham 108th (39:06), Robin Wilson 110th (39:17) and Bruce Raynor 111th (39:18). Stephen Oldman 114th and Bobbie Sauerzapf 117th were both three minutes than in the first race in (39:27) and (39:58) respectively ahead of Karen Gedge 129th (41:36), Colin Whale 131st (41:48), Philip Neave 143rd (43:11), Stephanie Whyte 146th (43:31), Louise Reed 159th (44:56) and Joanne Taylor 160th (44:59). M65 veteran Robin Farrar 162nd, knocked over four minutes off his time in (45:07).

• Seven Black Dogs attended the 203 strong Dereham 10 Mile Road Race. Jon Wiles was 28th in 66 mins 43 secs, followed by Stuart Spencer 90th (80:01) and Kathleen Williamson and Leo Alterelli who finished together in 134th (88:15). Judy Potter157th (94:51) was third in the F60 age group.
