The final round of the 2018 British Superbike Championships takes place at Brands Hatch this weekend and the RAF Regular and Reserves rider Jake Dixon hopes to consolidate his second place in the title before heading for the MotoGP paddock next year.

Leon Haslam now has a 61-point lead over Dixon although with 75 points (three races) up for grabs Dixon could still do it on paper. However, Haslam only needs a total 15 points to take the title so this will be more about keeping Josh Brookes, Glenn Irwin and Peter Hickman behind him as they still have a chance to steal the runner up spot. This is BSB and as we have seen in the past it is not over until the flag falls for the last race.

In the Superstock 600 class Thetford's Ryan Vickers has already won the championship after a brilliant display of riding this year with nine wins and one DNF at Knockhill.

However, you can be sure that Vickers will not settle for anything less than a win to finish his season before moving on to other things.

After taking the Superstock 1000 title last year 2018 has been a year for Bowthorpe's Morello Racing to forget as they languish down in the points when the year promised so much with the resigning of Josh Elliott who won the title for them in 2015.

This weekend Luke Jones will be joined by Kevin Manfredi from Italy, Manfredi rode for the team at Silverstone and put in some good rides on a track he had never seen before, he has yet to see Brands Hatch as well.

In the sidecar class draperRacing's Simon Gilbert along with North Walsham's Jack Tritton got off to a bad start with various problems but they have got through that and now lay 7th in the championship and have the potential to jump up a couple more places after some great results at Assen.

True Heroes Racing's Michael Russell from King's Lynn and Shaun Parker will bring Russell's first year in the sidecar class to a finish, they have won the NG Club's F2 championship.
