The day all speedway fans in Norfolk have been waiting for since last summer is finally here as the World Cup returns to our county.
More than 5,000 people are expected to line the Saddlebow Road terraces tonight in the hope of seeing Tai Woffinden and the GB boys win Event One to secure automatic qualification for next week's final in Poland. But they will have to do their utmost to roar their heroes to glory as they haven't won at Lynn since a memorable 2010 meeting, usually finishing in second or third to book their place in the last-chance-saloon 'race-off' for a chance to reach the final.
Australia are favourites again but they could be without injury doubt Chris Holder. His place may be taken by Cameron Woodward.
