‘It’s not a revenge mission’: King’s Lynn Town boss Setchell on top-of-the-table Coalville clash

Gary Setchell insists King's Lynn Town will not be looking for revenge when they host Coalville Town in a top-of-the-table clash at The Walks this evening.

High-flying Lynn, second in Evo-Stik Division One South, welcome the league's only unbeaten side in a repeat of 2011's FA Vase semi-final, which the Ravens won 6-2 on aggregate.

The Linnets' Wembley dream died amid ugly scenes as the tie's second leg was played out during a backdrop of off-the-field clashes in Norfolk.

However, Setchell believes his players have no interest in anything other than trying to pick up another positive result tonight as they go in search of their sixth win on the bounce.

'They were better than us in the FA Vase so I don't look at it (the game) as a revenge mission,' said the Lynn boss.

'Because of the way the games went, and what happened with the crowds, there will be a bit of spice to the game. But I believe if we had the team I've got now we'd have beaten them in the semi-finals two years ago.

'No doubt they've strengthened, they're flying high, but we've strengthened, so it's two near enough different teams.

'It's no grudge match – it's another three points we want to win against another top team.

'Hopefully, after Saturday, with the crowd we had, if we get another 200 to 300 on top of that we could get a four-figure gate – which would be absolutely unbelievable.'

Coalville sit six points ahead of Lynn in the table having played one game more.

They've won four and drawn one of their five away games in the league this term.

Yet, the Linnets, who welcome back Ryan Fryatt to their squad for the mouth-watering tie after he missed Saturday's 3-0 home win over Romulus through illness, are also looking to protect a proud record of their own. They haven't lost at home in the Evo-Stik so far this season.

Setchell said: 'We've got to concentrate on what we're doing and keep taking one game at a time. 'We've got a massive game tonight.

'It's a huge match for us and the boys will look forward to it. The league won't be won or lost on tonight, we know that. It'll be another acid test – although I think every game has been an acid test at this level.

'However, Coalville are sitting top of the pile, so it's probably going to be our hardest game so far.'

Fans will be entitled to a �2 discount for the clash if they produce their ticket stub from Saturday's game against Romulus.
