Pembrokeshire trainer Peter Bowen has a habit of making his lengthy trips to Fakenham worthwhile, as his eight wins from 17 runners at the course since the start of the 2010/11 season proves.

This afternoon Bowen has the chance to add to that tally with top chances in two of the seven races on a card that starts at 1pm.

Bowen runs the likely favourite, Tony Dinozzo in the day's feature race, the Wendling Handicap Chase at 2.30pm. An impressive winner at the course at the last meeting on New Year's Day, Tony Dinozzo will again be partnered by Jamie Moore.

Moore's main rival could be his younger brother Joshua who rides Pauline Robeson's Colebrooke who won at Fontwell in November before a disappointing effort at Lingfield just before Christmas.

Brian Ellison's Presented, a runner-up at Musselburgh after winning at Newcastle, is also in with a big chance.

Bowen's other big hope on the card is Cruising Bye in the 3.30pm East Bilney Handicap Chase. A December winner at Ffos Las, Cruising Bye holds a real chance of completing a double.

Full Ov Beans, under Ally Stirling for Michael Gates, won at the previous Fakenham meeting, and is the likely favourite while Towcester winner Bill the Lad and the consistent Midnight Charmer rate decent rivals.

The opening novice hurdle at 1pm could go to Canuspotit for Lucy Wadham. Canuspotit was last seen finishing second behind highly impressive Red Sherlock at Southwell, while Ballythomas and Speckled Door, are also useful.

Another hurdle event at 1.30pm is competitive with last time out winners Great Link and favourite Kodicil holding chances while Calaf, Make Me A Fortune, second for Steve Gollings at Sedgefield on Boxing Day and Akdam, are all in with real chances.

Wymondham trainer Caroline Fryer will be hoping her County Zen can go one better in the 2pm hurdle. County Zen was second at the course on New Year's Day but faces competition from Lawney Hill's Torran Sound and Cash Inspection who has become something of an Exeter specialist finishing first and second there on his last two runs.

The mares hurdle at 3pm could give Nicky Henderson joy via Earth Amber, a Southwell runner-up in January although Slipper Satin, third of eight at Lingfield in November may also show improvement for Noel Quinlan.

There is more hurdle action to complete the card at 4pm. Walter De La Mare and Grand Article look the main protagonists although previous course and distance winner Lilac Belle should not be overlooked.

Walter De La Mare could be the one to follow, Tom Messenger on board the seven-year-old who scored in selling company at Market Rasen on Boxing Day.
