Prolific winners abound among the entries for the two Open Races at the Suffolk Point-To-Point meeting at Ampton, near Bury St Edmunds, on Sunday.

A total of 76 entries have been received for this seven-race fixture, which gets under way at 1.30pm with an 11-entry Club Members Race and concludes at 5pm, when there are seven possible combatants in the Hunt Race. The steeplechasing will be preceded by two pony races, kicking off at 12.30pm.

The Men's Open may have only 11 entries but they feature both Broken Eagle, the winner of his last seven Point-To-Points, and Lough Inch, who has triumphed in 11 of his last 13 races.

Susquehanna River, on the mark at Horseheath a fortnight ago, may get the better of Scorpion Star in the Club Members Race while more than half of the seven-strong Hunt Race entry can already boast an Ampton success, with Autumn Haze the most likely to register another victory.
