Lowestoft Town endured a horrid away day against the Conference North's bottom side as they slumped to a crushing defeat.

Erkan Okay had given the Blues the lead against Hyde, who had not won in the league this season, when he was quickest to react to a Robert Eagle free kick.

The goal was as good as it got for the visitors as Louis Almond equalised five minutes later, before Adam Blakeman fired home a free kick on 25 minutes to give the home side the lead.

Shaun Bammant went close for the Trawlerboys either side of half time, but poor defending allowed Josh Brizell to fire home from a short corner on 56 minutes. Eight minutes later Tom Bentham tucked home as the visitors threatened to fall apart.

Their misery was compounded as Brizell fired home another free kick injury time to the delight of the home fans who had waited 529 days to see their side win a league game at Ewen Fields.
