King's Lynn Town completed a massive transfer coup this evening when former Football League star and current Corby Town defender Phil Gulliver joined the club.
Gulliver, 29, made more than 100 appearances as a professional before joining Corby in 2008 where he has played - as captain - ever since.
The former Middlesborough trainee, who was coached by ex-England manager Steve McClaren, featured for a host of clubs including Blackpool, Carlise and Rushden & Diamonds, before dropping into the non-league game.
Linnets boss Gary Setchell hailed the signing as a 'huge coup' for the club after the Corby-based centre-back decided to drop two levels to play for Lynn.
