Long Stratton's Shaun Howell is the new leader at the top of the Bangers Gold Roof Final qualification table after two rounds at Swaffham Raceway.

The third round takes place this Sunday afternoon at the Norfolk club circuit, with Howell hoping to build on his slender lead over Ben George (Norwich).

Great Moulton's Scott Piggin makes up the top three with Sutton's Daniel Bullock and Ronnie George (Norwich) hot on his heels.

As well as the regular bangers there are two further banger classes on show, with the women and juniors also in action. Carol Reynolds (Norwich) is the early leader in the ladies track points with Great Yarmouth's Jamie Plane already proving dominant in the juniors equivalent.

Joining the bangers are two non-contact rod formula's. The Norwich pairing of Gavin Nicholls and Gary Legrice are joint leaders in the mondeo rods whilst newcomer, Fakenham's Chris Woods, is leading the way in the Stock Rods track points.

Both formula's have seen an increase in driver numbers for 2010, a trend reflected in many of the classes at Swaffham Raceway.

Racing gets under way at 1.30pm, admission costs 10 adults, 5 young adults/OAP's, children (under 7) are free and a super value family ticket is available for 25.
