Horsford United's fine start to the season continued on Saturday as they hammered Wells Town at home in the first round of the Norfolk Senior Cup.
After dumping Anglian Combination Premier Division champions Cromer Town out of the Mummery Cup last weekend, they continued their excellent start to the campaign with a convincing victory.
Long Stratton prevailed after extra time at home to Watton United to confirm their progress whilst Caister continued their fine start to the season with a 4-0 win over Hindringham. Caister currently sit second in Division One behind Corton after winning their opening two league matches.
Hellesdon's poor start to the season continued after a 5-2 loss at home to Bradenham Wanderers meaning they are still looking for their first win of the season.
Aylsham cruised to a 3-0 win at Poringland Wanderers. Harleston hammered Holt 6-2 at home whilst Stalham advanced into the next round with a 2-1 win over Norwich CEYMS, who are still awaiting their first win of the season.
Second round (September 29): Stalham Town v North Walsham Town, Dersingham Rovers v Horsford United, Long Stratton v Caister, Reepham Town v Aylsham, Mattishall v St Andrews, Sheringham v Hempnall , Wymondham Town v Bradenham Wanderers , Harleston Town v Loddon United.
