Holt rounded off their campaign by seeing off local rivals Fakenham in the traditional Banham Cup fixture.

The visitors came out on top 7-5 in an entertaining game played in constant rain between two evenly matched sides who will be playing at the same level next season.

Despite enjoying most of the possession Fakenham could find no way through Holt's well organised defence in the first half. Holt's best chance was a missed penalty.

A try by Murray Tindall gave Fakenham an early second half lead but they were left to rue the missed conversion attempt from wide out. Holt responded strongly and were rewarded with a try between the posts by county captain Bruce van Poortvliet. The conversion by Aaron Tagg gave Holt the winning margin in the tightest of games.

Norwich Union Firebirds beat Essex side Wendens Ambo 22-10 in the annual President's game at Crusaders RFC. Jack Cottingham, Mikel Freeman-Pannett, Nick Roberts and Nick Gibbons got the tries.
