A Hethersett athlete has been involved in the dress rehearsal for carrying the Olympic torch.
Oliver Armstrong was one of 122 Torch-bearers involved in the Olympic torch dress rehearsal from Leicester to Peterborough.
Oliver, was one of ten students from Loughborough University who was selected to carry the Olympic torch on a trial run to test out the logistics of the Olympic torch relay which starts next month.
He ran a distance of 620 yards on the final leg through Loughborough Town Centre.
A crew of 400 staff from the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) and Metropolitan Police were involved in the rehearsal.
