Lowestoft Town had to settle for a 1-1 draw, despite an improved second-half performance, at Hendon in the Ryman League Premier on Tuesday night.

There was an early scare for the Blues when Greg Ngoyi was through with just Andy Reynolds to beat but he shot wide.

The hosts went ahead in the 16th minute when Belal Aite-Ouakrim latched on to a pass from Lubo Guentchev to fire past Reynolds.

Lowestoft almost equalised when Joe Francis met a cross from Andrew Cave-Brown but his effort went just wide.

Cave-Brown was the provider again early in the second period crossing for the unmarked Scott Mitchell but the midfielder's header was cleared off the line.

Lowestoft got their reward in the 68th minute when Sam Corcoran's flighted free-kick was headed back across goal by Greg Crane and Francis was there to slam home from close range.
