Hellesdon's Sophie Alden has been handed her first call-up to Team GB's triathlon squad for next month's European Youth Relay Championships at Holten, in the Netherlands.
She is part of a squad of four – more than GB has taken in the past due to the strength of their competitors.
Alden, who celebrates her 15th birthday on Sunday, took up triathlons at the age of eight and in depth.
She began swimming with the City of Norwich Club and also runs for City of Norwich Athletic Club.
