Head boy is top of class for Dereham
West Norfolk League: Dereham B's Tom Head blasted a double century as his side racked up a massive 311-run win at Beeston A in Division Five.
Head, whose previous best score was 65, hammered 10 sixes and 23 fours before being out for exactly 200 in Dereham's mammoth total of 342 for seven. His efforts were not enough however to lay claim to a league record – that belongs to Andrew Arndt, who made 235no for Narborough A in 2003.
Dereham's win was completed by Ryan Widdows (four for two) and Tom Simpson (three for three) as Beeston crumbled to 31 all out.
Dereham remain locked on points at the top with Long Sutton, who cruised to a 10-wicket victory against Northwold A, with Gary Burton taking six for 12 and Brett Sayer four for 12.
Paul Morton hammered his third century of the season as Denver overtook Sandringham at the top of Division One with a 34-run victory against the morning leaders.
