Harleston Magpies Ladies put up a good fight before going down 3-1 at home to leaders Wimbledon.
Wimbledon went 2-0 ahead in the first half after two quick counter-attacks but Magpies continued with their attacking play, forcing some good saves.
They eventually got one back when a short corner injection didn't come out smoothly but after some quick skills from Maria Andrews and Lauren Barber, Barber was able to strike the ball home. Another effort was then well saved before a quick break produced a goal for the away side to complete the scoring.
Magpies Over-35s won 2-1 in Jersey to reach the final of the England Hockey Trophy where they will play Timperley at the Olympic Park on April 30. Angie Wheelhouse put Magpies ahead five minutes before half-time and early in the second half Anouska Stott increased their lead before Jersey pulled one back with a penalty corner conversion.
