Lee Hardy enjoyed a good weekend at Mallory Park in round one of the Streetfighter A championships.
He managed an impressive sixth place on the grid for race one.
After a slow start an impressive fightback saw Hardy finish fifth despite struggling for grip from his rear tyre. Race two was a similar affair but after a brave move on the last lap he went from sixth to fourth in one corner.
On Sunday and on a different set of tyres, Hardy was confident that he could improve. In the first race he stayed with the front runners and made places early in the race. He was lapping over two-and-half seconds quicker than in qualifying the previous day and finished in a comfortable fourth place.
Race two saw Hardy's best opportunity for a podium but it slipped through his fingers with another fourth place finish.
The next meeting takes place at Pembrey, South Wales this weekend.
