Sister beat brother in a real family affair to take the feature race of the day, the Martin Foulger Memorial Handicap at Great Yarmouth on Monday.

Minalisa, a filly out of Oasis Dream and Mina, held on by a head under jockey Neil Callan's efforts to take the 4,000 prize for the six-furlong event. She was returned 2-1 favourite.

She beat the Anthony Carson trained runner-up, Peace Seeker, a gelding out of the same sire and dam, ridden by Dominic Fox, with Beat The Bell third.

The other feature race produced a surprise result when Zacynthus returned to form.

Returned at 7-1, the four-year-old gelding had shown little for trainer Alan McCabe but in his first race for Luca Cumani took the Shirley Gill Memorial Handicap over seven furlongs, under claimer Patrick Hills.

Mr David, another out-of-form horse, finished second with disappointing favourite Flynn's Boy, under double-seeking Callan, well beaten in third.

Some horses love the east coast track and Brown Pete, having won early in the season, returned to take the mile handicap, under Cathy Gannon, at 7-1.

She stylishly held off Light Burst and Conducting to take the prize for trainer Richard Guest, the former Grand National winning jockey.

Gannon went on to complete a double when she just got her mount Mollyow home by a neck in the two-mile finale. The Terry Clement trained 9-4 favourite just held off Tae-Kwon-Do who had made a 550-mile round trip to be trainer Tim Vaughan's first runner at the track.

Jockey Martin Harley was in action in Munich on Sunday but made it back to ride the winner in the opener on the Marco Botti trained newcomer Cheektocheek at 17-2.

Harley got the colt up by a neck to win on the line from Choral Prince under Callan and outsider Muskat Line, who held on to pip disappointing favourite Jumeirah Moon.

Reconsider Baby, backed down from 9-1 to 9-2, scored by a length under former apprentice champion Martin Lane to win the seller over six furlongs. Lane produced the Elaine Burke trained winner late to beat Emperor's Daughter and Hardy Blue.

Jockey Daragh O'Donohue notched his first winner in two years when Simple Rhythm, trained by John Ryan, won the five-furlong dash at 17-2. The six-year-old was always to the front and held off Roy's Legacy and the Christine Dunnett trained Danzoe comfortably. The next meeting at Yarmouth is on Wednesday August 8 with the first race at 5.15pm and tribute band Ultimate Madness entertaining the crowds after racing. The following day sees afternoon racing starting at 2.30pm.
