Peter Grant says Norwich City players have plenty to prove before he can believe talk of corners being turned.

The Canaries boss saw his team win for the first time after three defeats with a come-from-behind victory over Leeds after an unlucky defeat by Wolves, when he saw his team do everything but score.

But while it raised fans' hopes that the dreaded relegation battle would be avoided, the manager is refusing to rest on the laurels accumulated over the week.

“I look at Birmingham, I look at West Brom, I look at Crystal Palace,” he said. “I look at those games where we played exceptionally well - and then we had some awful performances.

“I have always said it is about consistency and we have not proved that yet. We only got three points (last week) and at the end of the day, if it had been six points I would have said 'yes, we have done well' because we deserved six points out of the two games, but we never got them, we got three points.

“That tells me there is still something that is not there. Because when you are dominating a game like we did against Wolves, to only get three points - I was far from happy.

“I was far from happy on Saturday because the first two attempts they get into our half with they score one and have another chance with the other. It tells me there is a lot we still have to work on.

“Attacking wise we are getting a hell of a lot of chances - I think there were 40 odd shots at goal - only seven were on target.”
